After a wild week of Blooming into Mindfulness book release events, today I just need to exhale. Fitting in #MarthasMarchPhotoChallenge between marketing work reminded me of why I took on the 365Project.org photo-a-day challenge in 2014: to force myself to take just a few mindful minutes to stop and appreciate the beauty right in front of me in the midst of a busy life.
Our unusually warm weather the past few weeks in northern Virginia has made for a very different (and more pleasant) photo challenge experience compared to 2014, when half of March was taken up by my boring (but lesson-filled) forsythia bud watch exercise.
Here are some of my favorite shots from my first third of this year’s March challenge:
It’s not too late to jump into the challenge! It’s really more of an un-challenge, the only rule being to have taken the shot this March. Check out how it works here.
